Professor Yen Hung-Hsu of the Department leads students to Kouhu for birdwatching and exploration of natural ecology

The wetland ecological area in Kouhu Township possesses abundant ecological resources, supporting the survival and reproduction of various wildlife. It provides a unique habitat suitable for birds, insects, fish, and other animals, attracting many experts and photographers who are passionate about nature and ecology.

Through the master's program course "Special Topics in Recreational Landscape," Professor Yen leads students outdoors to conduct field investigations, exploring seasonal birds and their migratory patterns. Such activities not only give students the opportunity to observe various bird species firsthand, but also allow them to gain a deeper understanding of birds' seasonal migration behaviors and learn how to preserve these valuable biological resources through landscape planning and environmental protection. Through on-site investigations, students can more intuitively experience the complexity of ecosystems and enhance their awareness and concern for biodiversity and environmental conservation.
